Introduction only

Tuaitengphai is a Zou village within Churachandpur district of Manipur, India. In the early decades of India's independence, it boasts of one of the earliest High School in the district. It was the grooming ground of the first generation of Zou leaders in fields as diverse as politics and religion. Today Tuaitengphai is a pale reflection of its past. With the rapid urbanization of Churachandpur town, the district headquarter offers more attractive prospects to local high school students.
